My 8th grade English teacher. She helped me discover that the intent of the assignment is much more important than the letter of the assignment. "Can I draw pictures of what the vocabulary words mean to me instead of writing out definitions?" "Can I make a trivia game about the characters instead of writing a report?" And that's where the cycle started.
